As part of a project to bulk scan the Electronic Patient Records (EPR) departments paperwork for Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Scanex also provided and implemented a Columbiasoft, Document Management system for the departments 40 staff.

Based on SQL server running on VMware virtual servers all records for the department and all scanned documents will be managed by the Columbiasoft system and by making use of the full text search capabilities , version control and full audit trails as well as Workflow tools, documents will be available to the users online 24/7 saving time and producing real cost savings and benefits to the staff.
